In the spring and summer, he volunteers as an international level 2 FILA Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling referee. He works numerous regional, national championships and international tournaments throughout the spring and summer.

| Coach Delgado
has been at Houston since the 1999-2000 season. Previously he was
the head coach at Briarcrest Christian School for 1 year. At Briarcrest,
he coached 1 state champion. His freshman teams have developed well
into future varsity wrestlers. He has coached 12 freshman city champions
and 2 freshman city championship teams. With the varsity, Houston
has won the 2000 and 2001 regional tournaments and 2000 and 2001 dual meet
regional championships. In 2001, the Mustangs placed 4th in the dual
meet state and 10th in the individual state. In 2005, Houston placed
10th in the state and had its first state champion, Luke Borneman.
At Houston he has coached 11 state placers with 2 state champions and 3
state finalists. He has a career coaching record of 108-56.
